I recently saw an interview on 60 Minutes that Tim Green has ALS. He appeared with one of his sons. Like a fighter, he is not letting it get him down. Like his football game career he is moving forward. I read his books several years ago. The show reminded me of how much I enjoyed his books. I went to Kindle and decided to read his wonderful books again.. His books, like him are an inspiration. His books are page turners.. Once you read the first few pages, you want to keep reading. I plan to re-read all of his books. They are all inspiring, like his life. That is why I gave him five well deserved stars. If you are looking for a good read, I would recommend you read his books!!!!!!

Tim Green is a great person. Saw his interview on TV, and, having been a coach for 27 years, I had to read these. I recommend that any middle schooler, high schooler, college, or above read them. God Bless Tim!

Although this book was informative, Washington used elevated language appropriate for her peers, not the audience who needs to hear about it. The book felt drawn out and repetitive after a while.

Great book!

Really good very informative

I highly recommend this book be read by all functionally literate humans. I underlined and made so many notes in my copy of the book, it could not possibly be re-sold to anyone.A lot of what I read was "you don't say." However, when I read about presumed consent and how in most states it is legal to harvest your body and or organs without consent, had steam coming from my ears(figuratively, of course). I want choke a doctor and his/her co-conspirators.

Clearly the book has a lot of work and effort behind it. I am only 1/2 way through, but feel some of the points mentioned are feeling rather than fact based information. However the main points are well documented and no doubt should be of concern to us all, particularly in light of our US cost of healthcare, almost double per capita all other western industrialized countries. Knowing also that Medicare and Medicaid and Social Security are the largest part of our present and future fiscal mismanagement problems also highlights the authors many good points. It's a bit tough to slog through, but worth reading.

DEADLY MONOPOLIES will change your life! Once you begin reading this book, your approach to your health will be transformed. If I had known years ago what I now know, so many things would be different. Save your loved ones by reading this book, and save yourself by asking the questions that will get you the answers you need. I suggest buying multiple books or sharing the reading because it's going to expand your mind. Truly a revolutionary read!

Every page contained the same few items for kids to report on, and it looked worse than if the pages had been printed from a Word document and assembled into a book. We didn't use this item at all; instead, we used the Kids Travel Guide to Thailand- much more worth the money. I had hoped to return the item, but unfortunately it's past the time that it can be returned. I would NOT recommend this journal to anyone.

This is a total rip-off. Except for the little cloud on the front cover, there is nothing in this mentioning Disneyland. It's a thin notebook of cheap paper, with black and white pages for making lists and drawing pictures. The only color is on the covers. I'm certain that this is sold as a journal for every place people travel, with the word Disneyland on the cloud changed. It is nothing like its description. I'm returning it. I spent a little more and got what I wanted. This sure wasn't it.

I was even more pleased with this once I saw it. Small enough to tuck in a carryon entertainment bag. Has pages at the beginning to write what the child hopes to see when they get there. Separate page for each day to record what they did with space for their own illustration or to glue in a post card. My just-finished-1st-grade grandson is traveling to Alaska this summer and this will provide a perfect place to do a little writing, a little drawing, include postcards or photos, and have a mini scrapbook of his trip when he is done. Love it!

I was excited to purchase a fun travel journal for my daughter to use on our upcoming trip to Cancun. Unfortunately, the journal is very generic and not Cancun related at all. In fact, the only place that says "Cancun" is the cover. The journal pages are plain and generic with "what I did today" and "draw something you saw today" for 14 days. It is a waste of money. I'm disappointed it was not more fun and Cancun specific.

71 pages long. The front of the book is lined and guides some list making, the back is blank if you wish to continue journaling. Each day of your trip (up to day 14) offers your child a chance to write about the day and the next page page allows space for drawing. Interesting idea, but I was hoping for a bit more. Honestly, I could create this myself in about 30 minutes with a notebook and a just a few writing prompts.

I wish they would have show an example of a page, in order to gauge the age group this was geared toward. This is much too young for my 9 y.o. daughter. Will return and order a different one. For younger kids this seems to be good. Not too overwhelming - lots of drawing space. Simple design. Geared more towards 5 yo’s in my opinion.

My Mother wanted. a travel journal, for my 7 yr old niece who was going to Germany. The return trip was through NYC, where they would stay a few days. This is the cutest little journal and is great for allowing the child's personal thoughts.

If you are interested in wine chemistry then this is the book to have. I am a sommelier, I am not a chemist, yet despite my lack of science education and knowledge, I was still able to use this book quite easily. Margalit explores a variety of topics ranging from flavor-causing compounds to the effect of wood on the wine to the grapes development on the vine. If you are studying for a wine examination this book is must have. If you are a student in wine, this is a must have. Or if you are just interested in knowing why the Pyrazine content of Sauvignon Blanc is different in different climates, then this is the book to have.

Not an intro book, need to know chemistry to get the most out of it. I'm OK at understanding chemistry and I'm still getting a lot out of it.

The model of having enough money to have separate product and customer development teams before you've written a single line of code may exist in some imaginary world but not in the tech world of 2017. The book was written before Github, stackoverflow, anything as a service and the entire gig economy. If you need to go to trade shows to know what your customers need you are in the wrong business. His insights on vc mistakes and misfitting VP sales to innovative startups are true although observations of marginal value to the reader.Despite these flaws the last chapter on company building is a valuable contribution to beginning entrepreneurs, if they are capable of absorbing change, taking advice and have the good fortune to have the right role models and coaches. As a serial entrepreneur in transition to mission oriented company in my fifth startup clearclinica.com I found the last chapter a well built and thoughtful roadmap for change.

I loved the fact that the Kindle edition had the link to youtube videos and other e-material. the first half of the book is addictive, really a cool new vision on product(costumer) Development.The second half of the book felt more like a field-book, which in nice but without the actual context is a little bit harder to keep reading as a whole publication. Notice that this is the intent of the author.I got to this book from "The Lean Startup", you can think about this two books as "complementary"

The book is good and interesting. Steve gets all his experience on the table, and makes a wonderful case for "Customer development" and "Product development" going in parallel. I have been through a launch of a product, and much of what he mentions in the book have also been my reasons for failure - and that's truly insightful! Many of the situations in the book has had happened in my case - primarily because we've been majorly "product development"- centric and worked on "customer development" after the product had reached the MVP state - when we figured out that things don't work the way customers like.Also, the examples and case-studies in the book are very nice. Some of them, I can already identify with (Eg: SUN's great start), and many I knew not - but still very apt. Postmortem on failures is a very nice way of explaining way to succeed, and Steve does a good job at it!Some parts of the book becomes a little monotonous to read. I see some repetitions, and some very obscure text. I could actually skip some pages in between, and still get a gist of the chapters. This is the reason for 4/5 stars.What I would also appreciate is some stories on "success" stories of startups whose founders have read this book, and have actually applied the methods explained in there. Such stories adds that extra supportive information, and first-hand accounts of success based on this book. I believe future editions of this book might contain such stories...

This book was recommended to me by a friend when I told them that I had enjoyed reading Lean Startup. He insisted that Four Steps to the Epiphany was far more detailed, instructive and thought out. This is pretty much an iterative recipe book, walking you through steps in detail with specific recommendations to return to earlier steps if milestones aren't achieved.

Note: The review that follows is of the Third Edition, published in 2007.In this volume, Steven Gary Blank introduces and then explains in thorough detail the "Customer Development" model, one that he characterizes as "a paradox because it is followed by successful startups, yet has been articulated by no one [other than Blank, prior to its initial publication in 2005]. Its basic propositions are the antithesis of common wisdom yet they are followed by those who achieve success. It is the path that is hidden in plain sight." In fact, Blank insists that what he offers is a "better way to manage startups. Those that survive the first few tough years "do not follow the traditional product-centric launch model espoused by product managers of the venture capital community." And this is also true of product launches in new divisions inside larger corporations or in the "canonical" garages.Moreover, "through trial and error, hiring and firing, successful [whatever their nature and origin] all invent a parallel process to Product Development. In particular, the winners invent and live by a process of customer learning and discovery. I call this process `Customer Development,' a sibling to `Product Development,' and each and every startup that succeeds recapitulates it, knowingly or not." Wow! This really is interesting stuff and I haven't even begun to read the first chapter.Few start ups succeed, most don't, and Blank notes that each new company or new product startup involves (borrowing from Joseph Campbell) a "hero's journey" that begins with an almost "mythological vision - a hope of what could be, with a goal few others can see. It is this bright and burning vision that differentiates the entrepreneur from big company CEOs and startups from existing businesses." Although Blank suggests that the aforementioned "journey" involves a four-step process, it should be noted that not one but several epiphanies or at least revelations can and - hopefully - will occur during that process, one that is multi-dimensional rather than linear, from Point A to Point Z.These are among the dozens of reader-friendly passages I found of greatest interest and value:o Customer Discovery Step-by-Step (Page 30)o The Customer Discovery Philosophy (33-37)o Customer Discovery Summary (76)o The Customer Validation Philosophy (82-83)o Customer Validation Summary (118)o Customer Creation Step-by-Step (120)o Customer Creation Philosophy (123-124)o The Four Building Blocks of Customer Creation (129-132)o Customer Creation Summary (157)o Company Building Step-by-Step (158)o The Company Building Philosophy (162-163)o Company Building Summary (205)No brief commentary such as mine can possibly do full justice to the scope and depth of material that Steven Gary Blank provides in this volume but I hope that I have at least suggested why I think so highly of him and his work. Also, I hope that those who read this commentary will be better prepared to determine whether or not they wish to read it and, in that event, will have at least some idea of how the information, insights, and wisdom could perhaps be of substantial benefit to them and to their own organization.

Content-wise, this is hands down the best book I have ever read on entrepreneurship. However, it is not lite reading. It reads like a step by step playbook (or textbook) and has little in the way of entertaining narrative. You need to be prepared for a degree of repetition in content and in structure since the author is making the case there there is a rigorous, repeatable process to building a startup. I devoured every page, including the appendices, and discovered insight after insight.

I’ve been using this deck for awhile now. I pull one card a day for myself and sometimes for others. They have been quite accurate for me and the people I have pulled for. I would recommend this deck.

I really love these oracle cards - beautiful and I really connect with them. I gave away all my other ones, angel cards, etc. these ones just really resonate. I am part Native American, a Reiki master and healer and I felt that these had just the right combination of groundedness and ethereal energy, if that makes any sense. I would definitely recommend.

I am in love with these cards. As soon as I touched them I could feel the beautiful energy that was used to create them. I use them every morning and for special readings. Definitely buy these cards if you appreciate beautiful artwork and animals. They come with a guidebook but I don't usually use it. I usually meditate on the meaning if it is not immediately obvious. Great way to strengthen the intuition.

These cards are beautifully written. They never fail to bring me out of a funk or help me make a difficult decision. Many journal entries have been inspired by the thoughts and realizations these cards have sparked in me. I have learned a lot from them...about myself and about life. Highly recommended for regular personal work and also as a great gift for friends and family.

Beautiful cards in a sturdy box. I found these being used by the spiritual people of Sedona, AZ. Do they work? Who knows- but many people believe they do. I just appreciate their beauty. I gave them to my "hippy" friends tand hey all loved them. Cards very thick and richly illustrated, with a ridged texture that makes for easy handling.

The card stock quality is Excellent! It is sturdy and will be able to withstand abuse and I am a professional tarot and oracle card reader so I need cards that can take the abuse of daily wear! I can't begin to say how awesome these cards are, the artistry is spectacular each animal is depicted beautifully and the messages are wonderful I did a reading on myself to find out which animal I would get and I got the wolverine the message was you are lot tougher than you think you are! LOL OH YEAH!! Get this deck it is a wonderful addition for any serious collector.

Beautiful cards. The only thing that I wish was a little different is the texture of the cards. They are a little too ridged making it a little difficult for me to shuffle fast That is my experience at least. Maybe someone else wont have that problem. Other than that, they are really nice!
