This is a wonderful addition to my collection of fashion photography books. She's my favorite model.The back of the book has tiny versions of each photo with the name of the photographer, magazine it was in, and year. There a few unpublished photos as well. Beautiful photos. The fourth picture, taken by Marcus Piggott, was shocking for me as it was a full front nude of her standing, hands on either side of her ahem as if she was framing it with her two hands.I also have Kate Moss by Mario Testino, A Day I the Life of Hollywood (If you can find it, get it!) Lady Gaga Terry Richardson and my first being Herb Ritts Notorious.If you're open-minded and a huge fan of Kate Moss, you will not be disappointed.

The first time I saw Kate Moss was in The Face magazine (now sadly gone to magazine heaven) and I was stunned at her rawness and unique beauty. Here was a young woman who was not like the typical model we saw in ads and fashion magazine editorials. Here was a thin and lean waif who was a natural beauty with spunk and a rebel streak! Kate Moss defined style in the 90's through her Calvin Klein ads and sexy photo shoots. Despite, the backlash against her "under weight" frame, Kate continued to work and make beautiful art! For those of us who regard her beauty as timeless and love what she represented, a book collecting her greatest images was long overdue. The Kate Moss book is not just a book celebrating some of Kate Moss's most memorable images, as it is also a collection of her edgy work with some of the greatest photographers who have worked in fashion.The book is massive and almost 400 pages. It is heavy and solid. Flipping through it is like wading through 2 decades of fashion's greatest images. Kate helped select these images and should be commended for choosing images that are not always flattering but are always interesting, Kate on the toilet, Chuck Close's wonderful black and white portraits sans make-up, and numerous shots which I found to be beautiful but the average person might not.The nudes, black and white, vivid colors, some erotic and some plain, are some of the best images of Kate Moss, because despite reports she cried during the sessions of her earlier nude sets, she seems most comfortable without clothing. Despite enduring judgement, criticism for her weight, scandals involving drug use allegations, and having becoming a mom, Kate Moss is still super successful and beautiful (reportedly earning millions of dollars last year!)At 38, Kate Moss is still working and beautiful, fascinating and working with some of the most artistic photographers in the business.The book is amazing for fans of Kate and of fashion and photography. My only criticism is that the book is chock full of images of Kate smoking! Damn, she smokes a ton, lol! Seriously, Kate quit smoking!As a photographer, I found the book to be so inspirational. The cutting edge work Kate Moss has created over the years is thoroughly on display here and is a compliment to her sensibilities and the great artists she has worked with. Long live Kate Moss! May she work into her 50's. Like my muse, model Liz La Point who is in her 30's, Kate Moss has an eternal youthfulness that promises to last. May she never quit making such bold and daring choices, and may she continue to be apart of the fashion and art world!This book places Kate Moss in fashion history as one of the greats and I look forward to another volume in 20 years!On another note, and not Amazon's fault, but rather the publisher. The book arrived in seemingly good shape and was packaged well by Amazon but after I took the plastic off and began flipping through it, I discovered several wrinkled pages and then an actual rip in the middle of one of the pages. I can't decide whether to return it or not because the book is published with 6 different covers and I like the one I got but it does make me irritated that after months of anticipation for this book, it should arrive damaged internally as a result of the printing process or packing process.

The photography and design of the book is so beautiful. Jaw-dropping really. During the first flip through, I was very happy with this book and very excited. When I looked at it a second time, I realized that half of the dishes that I wanted to make were just described about in a few paragraphs, with NO RECIPE actually provided. I ended up feeling really disappointed, over and over again, as I went through the book. This is a big flaw. If there was an actual recipe for each dish featured, than I would give this 5 stars.

There are not all the recipes in the book. He talks about a lot of them with pictures, but there are only some recipes. The recipes that I was most interested in, he did not include actual recipes.

This book gives people the chance to experience a facet of Asian food that is starting to become a part of the street food pallet. A recipe book that will give you a better look at Asian street food.

I learned a lot from the book, which I read while in my first trip to Saudi Arabia. But from my observations it is already out of date. Also, I found the organizational structure less than helpful. It was hard to find a specific topic. I read it on my iPad, and perhaps the electronic format didn't work so well. I think a hard copy that you can flip through might work better.

This e-book provided a very good overview of the country, of life for an Expat in Saudi Arabia, and zoned in with more detailed information for several specific and common areas. I recommend this for anyone going to work in Saudi Arabia or considering the opportunity.

It's a pretty straightforward listing of information; several personal stories at the end offer only a little color. I was dismayed to read that Jeddah was "initially a quaint fisherman's settlement on the shore of the Gulf Coast..." --isn't it on the Gulf?

It seemed like a long list of facts that I probably could have found without buying the book. Some personal stories with some added humor would have made it a better read.

Peter Boniface, PhD, PLS, is a licensed surveyor in California and an associate professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Very informative book on the papacy. I enjoyed the many referenced provided.

I used these practice exams to study for the CA Civil Surveying exam. I found that the actual test problems were much different in format, difficulty, and content. I think there is an updated version of these exams. I hope PPI has updated the content to better reflect the actual test. I was pleased with PPI's prep course for the Civil PE exam but the material for the California surveying and seismic tests was really out of sync with the real test.

The Mind was written over a century ago but its insights remain relevant today. Le Bon provides entertaining analysis of the characteristics of crowds. His primary thesis is that crowds become entities that surpass any of the individual members and essentially take on a life of their own. He also provides compelling details about the types of men that rise to govern and lead crowds. What is so remarkable about this book is the fact that it was written before, but provides such a spot on depiction of what would come to be with Hitler and Germany during WWII. That horrific fact of history makes the book worth reading. On the downside, one observation that does disqualify the book as a whole is Le Bon's diminution of women.The ending is superb. I will not give it away, but his focus on the erosion of individual liberty and the extreme dangers it poses is very relevant today and his accounting of the cycle of all civilizations is thought provoking and astute. It also contributes to the much needed warnings of the dangers of concentrating powers.

The Crowd is the most highlighted book on my kindle. Le Bon heaps one penetrating insight upon another in this timeless masterpiece. It is as depressing as it is uplifting; I do not recommend it to people with weak stomachs or to naive humanists with delusions about the inherent goodness of humanity. Likewise though who think of democracy as a natural and sustainable system should avoid this book, lest they become flustered from momentum of its case. Cognitive dissonance is a terrible illness and Le Bon is bound to to give it to a few naive readers. I do not recommend it to elitists who cannot see that they are also members of The Crowd. If you are at all interested in any branch of the humanities this belongs in your library. Plus, you can't beat the price!

1) I very much liked the discussion of the different modes of education & instruction and their role in society. I also found instructive the discussion of the different meanings of the word "democracy" between the Latin peoples and the Anglo-Saxon ones.2) At location 357, he writes, "Crowds are everywhere distinguished by feminine characteristics, but Latin crowds are the most feminine of all. Whoever trusts in them may rapidly attain a lofty destiny, but to do so is to be perpetually skirting the brink of a Tarpeian rock, with the certainty of one day being precipitated from it." And at location 485, he writes, "Like women, a throng goes at once to extremes." I take these two comments as an insult to women, albeit written in 1895.3) At location 461, he writes, "Works of history must be considered as works of pure imagination. They are fanciful accounts of ill-observed facts, accompanied by explanations the result of reflection. To write such books is the most absolute waste of time." And at location 479, he writes, "history is scarcely capable of preserving the memory of anything except myths." Well, I wouldn't go that far, and I think serious historians wouldn't agree with him either.Then, at location 697, he writes, "It was by becoming a Catholic," said Napoleon to the Council of State, "that I terminated the Vendeen war. By becoming a Mussulman that I obtained a footing in Egypt. By becoming an Ultramontane that I won over the Italian priests, and had I to govern a nation of Jews I would rebuild Solomon's temple."How do you justify the validity of this quote (and several others like it throughout the book) in light of what he wrote above at locations 461 & 479?!!!!4) At location 771, he writes, "Illumined one day by the light of reason, he broke the images of divinities and saints that adorned the altar of a chapel, extinguished the candles, and, without losing a moment, replaced the destroyed objects by the works of atheistic philosophers such as Buchner and Moleschott, after which he piously relighted the candles. The object of his religious beliefs had been transformed, but can it be truthfully said that his religious sentiments had changed?"My answer is, "Yes, it can." Worshiping divinities and saints is not the same as valuing and respecting science and reason. If we follow his logic, no body would be allowed to believe enthusiastically in anything for fear of being labeled a fanatic.5) At location 1164, he writes, "The masses have never thirsted after truth. They turn aside from evidence that is not to their taste, preferring to deify error, if error seduce them. Whoever can supply them with illusions is easily their master; whoever attempts to destroy their illusions is always their victim." This quote reminds me of Trump & his "alternative facts".6) At location 1180, he writes, "To bring about the recognition that Protection ruins the nations who adopt it, at least twenty years of disastrous experience will be needful." This message seems to be directed at Trump from the late 19th century.7) At location 1337, he writes, "Brain disorders, like madness, are themselves contagious. The frequency of madness among doctors who are specialists for the mad is notorious. Indeed, forms of madness have recently been cited—agoraphobia, for instance—which are communicable from men to animals." I very much dispute the accuracy of these statements.8) The classification of crowds starting at location 1679 is very disorganized and confusing.

Very interesting book in social psychology. I lost my original college copy and wanted to re-read it and compare and contrast this to Black lives Matter, the liberal left and the Republican party.

Search is a guide, a handbook, for the pastoral search process. It is not a comprehensive treatment. Having never done one (but with one on the horizon), would guess that most searches are unique enough that any attempt at comprehensiveness would be folly.I imagine that most searches (read: small churches) would benefit greatly from this book merely because it points out so many nuances and reality checks in the search process. Likewise, the deliberate intentional search structure offered in the book will be invaluable to this group as they are those least likely to be in a position to hire professional assistance.While it does not impact the 5 star rating, I have to be honest and say I was disappointed with the editing. For example, there are a couple of instances where virtually identical paragraphs appear within a page or two of each other.

This is an excellent resource for church leaders embarking on the pastoral search process. As one would expect for a handbook, Search includes very practical steps and tips to a successful pastor search process. However, the author goes a step further to address the spiritual, emotional, and relational aspects of such an important endeavor. From starting off in prayer, to setting a solid foundation before interviewing candidates, to how to welcome your new pastor and family to the church...this is a very helpful tool.

This is a great book for anyone serving on a search committee for a pastor. Many helpful tips and great advice to guide in a pastoral search. I highly recommend it.

This book is great resource for pastor search committees. It is an easy read filled with best practices learned from assisting hundreds of churches. This book provides a helpful plan and roadmap for finding a pastor. It makes the pastor search process understandable and manageable. I highly recommend this book and will be using it in my work as a church consultant.

This is probably the best book out there. Be aware: it's a kind of infomercial for his company. But there is plenty of very helpful information, even if you are not hiring a company to search for you.
